Tedashii Listening Party

This was the greatest night I have had in a long time it beat the Gorilla Zoe Concert in Knoxville. As you can see from the adds in before my blog it was a listening party for a hip-hop artist named Tedashii's upcoming album Identity Crisis. It was on April 22, 2009 at BB Kings in downtown Nashville. A lot of guests came through: BenJah, JR, Trip Lee, Flame, Lecrae, and Sho Baraka and of course Tedashii. So the night night started off with JR, and man he can sing. He has an R&B style to his music. I wasn’t really into his stuff, but he still gave a good performance. Afterward the crowd got wild when we started to hear the intro to a song called Joyful Noise. It was Flame! Everyone got hype and the night officially started. As he went through his songs he asked from people who can dance so several people go up there including 4 from Tech. He announced the they were going to dance to “Go Buck” our guys were happy because they had made up a dance to the song. They went ahead and performed their dance and the other dancers were actually good. One guy was tutting, which is a style of dancing, and he was holding it down for a single person. So as the 116 Clique came up, which consists of Trip Lee, Sho Barakak, and Lecrae, the party was just getting better. Lecrea did his thing on “Don’t Waste Your Life” made it worth saying I don’t wanna waste my life. After a while it was time for what we came for Tedashii to introduce tracks off his upcoming album “Identity Crisis.” My favorite song was Make War it discusses how you have to make a war against what’s not right. The whole crowd was chanting “Make War! Make War!” is he sang more tracks from the album the night ended up very great.
